Our Lady of Good Success: The Light of Quito Since 1599
In the heart of Quito’s Historic Center, inside the Convent of the Immaculate Conception, rests one of the oldest and most prophetic Marian devotions on the continent: Our Lady of Good Success of the Purification.
Between the 16th and 17th centuries, the Virgin appeared to Mother Mariana de Jesús Torres, a Conceptionist nun gifted with an exceptional mystical life. In these apparitions, the Virgin announced:
